THE ACTORS

TODD DULMAGE (BLUE/ORANGE) ~ Todd is a graduate of the Ryerson Theatre School. His work in classical theatre includes Hastings in RICHARD III (Lord Strange’s Players), Philip, King of France in THE LION IN WINTER and for The Tempest Theatre Group: Bertram in ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, Laertes in HAMLET, Romeo in ROMEO AND JULIET and the title role in MACBETH. Among his other theatre credits are Leo in THROAT, Max Davis in BLACK JACK JUSTICE (Toronto Fringe Festival) and the lead in ’37 (SummerWorks at Theatre Passe Muraille).

VANESSA DUNN (VITA & VIRGINIA) ~ Canadian actress Vanessa Dunn is a graduate of the Theatre Program at the University of Guelph. Her stage credits include THERE GOES THE BRIDE (Scarborough Village Theatre), KING LEAR (The Drama Group), CALIFORNIA SUITE and the female version of THE ODD COUPLE (Laurier Productions), THE SUBSTITUTE and YOUR LIFE IF A FEATURE FILM (Sears Drama Festival) and MOTHER COURAGE (Runaway Theatre).                                                                                              Film & Television: LAKE OF BAY, THE SPARK, WHITE DAY, THE EYES HAVE IT and LIVING THE LIFE. Vanessa plays Jenna Watson on the hit web-series B.J. FLETCHER: PRIVATE EYE. For First Stages: Debut.  

MARIA HEIDLER (THE ROAD TO MECCA) ~ 2008 marked Maria's 35th year on the international stage. A graduate of England's Webber-Douglas Academy she has played lead roles in theatres throughout the UK.  National tours in Britain include DENNIS THE MENACE with Prunella Scales and WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY? with Simon Ward. Her work in theatre in Canada includes THE MOUSETRAP, WEEKEND COMEDY, NO SEX PLEASE WE'RE BRITISH, CAUGHT IN THE NET, TONS OF MONEY and CASH ON DELIVERY all for Drayton Entertainment. GODRIC LATIMER-KIM (THE ROAD TO MECCA) ~ Canadian actress Godric Latimer-Kim is also a teacher and director. She holds honour degrees in education and drama from the University of Guelph and the University of Toronto. She founded and directed Theatricks Summer Camp in Guelph from 1996 to 2004.  From 2002 to 2004 she was also co-founder and director of the Merric Acting Studio in St. Catharines. Since 2003 she has taught drama at The Crescent School for Boys in Toronto where she has also directed productions of PETER PAN, MACBETH, ROBIN HOOD and THE FRONT PAGE. ELIZABETH MCCALLUM (VITA & VIRGINIA) ~ Elizabeth began her theatre studies at the University of Waterloo. Onstage she has played leading roles in THE CRUCIBLE, JITTERS, MACBETH, PERFECT WIVES/DESPERATE LIVES, THE VIGIL CRASHER, IF, THE BIG SHUCK and SUPERHERO. In musical theatre Elizabeth has appeared in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
Film & Television: BEHIND THESE WALLS, AMERICA’S MOST WANTED, BLUE MURDER, LONGSHOT and WHATEVER THAT IS (2009 Toronto International Film Festival).

DENIS SIMPSON (BLUE/ORANGE) ~ Award-winning actor, director, singer, choreographer and M.C., Denis Simpson was born in Jamaica W.I., grew up in Toronto, has worked across Canada and the United States, including New York, and now resides in Vancouver. He received a DORA MAVOR MOORE Award for Best Actor in AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ and a JESSIE RICHARDSON Award for his one-man tour de force DENIS, ANYONE? He was an original founding member of the internationally successful a cappella group, THE NYLONS. He was also inducted as an honoured member into the B.C. Entertainment Hall Of Fame. In New York his appearances on Broadway include JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and DUDE, as well as several Off-Broadway shows. Denis starred in the original Canadian productions of HAIR, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, A CHORUS LINE, and AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’. Amongst his starring roles in the theatre are Belize in ANGELS IN AMERICA, Hoke in DRIVING MISS DAISY, 4-Eyed Moe in FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE, and the Reverend Sykes in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. One of his most memorable engagements was as the long-time favourite host of TV Ontario's THE POLKA DOT DOOR. As an M.C. he also appeared on Channel M's CAFE M and as The Live Eye Guy on CityTV’s BREAKFAST TELEVISION. Denis has appeared in countless CBC Variety Shows as well as guest-starring roles in such series as FLASH GORDON, ROBSON ARMS, SEEING THINGS, THESE ARMS OF MINE and MCGYVER. Currently he is working on his latest play STRUCK! Denis is well known and admired for the unfailing donations of his time and talents to support many local and national charities.

SVEN VAN DE VEN (THE ROAD TO MECCA) ~ Sven’s career in theatre began in 1974 when he was an apprentice at The Stratford Festival.  Since then he has performed in theatres across Canada including six seasons with The Shaw Festival.  Here he appeared in such notable productions as SAINT JOAN, WAR AND PEACE, THE MARRYING OF ANNE LEETE and WILL ANY GENTLEMAN. Other stage productions include THE CRAZY TIME (world premiere) and WEEKEND COMEDY (Victoria Playhouse Petrolia), THE LAST RESORT (VPP/Drayton Entertainment), THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK (Theatre Calgary), DEATH OF A SALESMAN (Theatre Aquarius, Hamilton), LOVE AND ANGER (Magnus Theatre, Thunder Bay), THE INCREDIBLE MURDER OF CARDINAL TOSCA (Arts Club Theatre, Vancouver) and PROOF (Theatre Northwest, Prince George).

Film & Television:  HOLLYWOODLAND (with Ben Affleck), THE HADES FACTOR (with Mira Sorvino) and SHADES OF BLACK: THE CONRAD BLACK STORY (with Albert Schultz).
